![]() The Unholy Death Knight is receiving quite an extensive array of buffs in 9.2, specifically focusing on conduits and covenant legendaries. Please feel free to contact me on Discord as Bicepspump#6318, I'm always happy to have a healthy discussion! Outside of playing WoW, I work as a data scientist and enjoy playing other games such as Dota 2! Furthermore, I work with the WoWAnalyzer website where I develop modules for the Death Knight specs. I take part in writing and optimizing the action priority list for SimulationCraft and continuously test different hypotheses using the SimulationCraft program. Big shoutout to everyone on the Acherus discord that have given me valuable insight through numerous discussions. You can often find me on the Death Knight discord discussing rotations and builds, on my stream ( B1cepspump), running some juicy Mythic +, or on my youtube channel where I've started doing video guides. I'm Bicepspump, a semi-hardcore player currently playing on Kazzak. In this guide, we will go over all the class changes for Unholy Death Knight and analyze their impact in the patch, detailing tier set bonuses, best legendaries, best talents, and best covenant for your Unholy Death Knight in Patch 9.2 Eternity's End. ![]() Pair this with extending Unholy Transformation, which has strong value in all content.ĭeath’s Certainty will grow a bit more in relative value if our resource problems are addressed, and it will be fantastic if we’re ever allowed to run 2 Legendaries at once like in Legion.Shadowlands Patch 9.2 Eternity's End brings many new features for your Unholy Death Knight in Shadowlands, including double legendaries, Tier Sets, and Unholy Death Knight changes. Being able to Death Coil 33% more often (albeit not including Sudden Doom procs) nearly pays for itself, and will additionally net you more resources (more chances at Runic Corruption) to cast other abilities. Not missing a GCD that you would’ve missed otherwise is a lot more damage than +45% to Death Coil, and Deadliest Coil is great at it. The damage increase is nice, but the big issue with DK right now that makes Deadliest Coil so much better is that we’re resource starved, especially in single target encounters. You’re almost never going to see the benefit of D&D’s cooldown reduction due to Epidemic > Death Coil in aoe (which largely nullifies the value of increased death coil damage), and you’ll never use D&D in st unless you went with Night Fae. I don’t know about whether it works with Sudden Doom, but the problem with Death’s Certainty is that it’s a jack of all trades, master of none in a bad way. Heck, I’m going for for the Phearomones legendary to use with Night Fae’s Death’s Due, and I’m not going to be able to touch it until the great vault opens, which means waiting at least a full week after the raid has already released. Currently, out of all of the choices DK has across all specs, I think only Bryndaor’s Might is worth investing all that soul ash in, and it requires you to either be skilled at death strikes or taking the Voracious talent (in which case it’s effectively a permanent passive). ![]() If every class had their BiS locked behind raid release, it wouldn’t be a big deal. ![]() The part that makes this bad is that it’s a departure from the norm. It’s a little more rewarding than dungeon spamming until you get it. Even if that first raid run ends up a bust for getting gear, we’re still getting a few legendary effects out of it guaranteed! (or at least, I heard that sources with weekly lockouts always drop them). I’m kinda glad that our BiS is behind some of the more difficult content, as it gives us something to be excited about.
